The Nokia Lumia 900 is finally here in shops today. Powered by colourful and fun Windows Phone software. Now big question is can the Lumia 900 send Nokia back to the top of the mobile phone World?
There’s a bit of a good and bad news situation for Nokia fans in the UK. First bad news is tat last week it was reported that the Finnish phone maker, Nokia, is pushing back the arrival of the Lumia 900 there until May 14. Now the good news is that the delay is due to high demand for the handset in the US. While the company has had its lips tightly zipped on the exact sales figures since the launch of the device, it’s a good indication that the largest Lumia is doing well.
It was expected to be released in the UK on April 27, it appears that the delay might not be as bad as first thought. Nokia has also confirmed that the April 27 date was not announced by them and the official word was always that it was going to land sometime in Q2.
Earlier this month, we got a look at a display in a Microsoft store that revealed a new magenta color option for the Nokia Lumia 900. At the time, we only had the choice between black and cyan, but since then, AT&T’s started selling the 900 in white, as well. Even with that model now available, we had yet to hear anything official from either Nokia or AT&T about this magenta version. Now, it looks like Nokia, at least, is fully embracing the magenta 900, now showing the model as a color option available through its Facebook app.
